IE4 Flameproof Motors
“Hindustan” IE4 electric motors are manufactured according to IS: 12615 & IEC: 60034-30-1. They are asynchronous three-phase TEFC squirrel-cage motors in cast iron construction from frame sizes 80-280. Energy efficiency is the focus area related to reduction of carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions and industrial pollution, since CO2 is one of the most dangerous greenhouse gases. Across borders, legislation and Minimum Energy Performance Standards (MEPS) are put into force to improve the efficiency of electric motors.

Crane Duty Motors – Standard & Flameproof
“Hindustan” crane duty motors are specially designed for frequent starts/stops & reversing required in cranes & lifts of all types. They can also be used in applications such as material handling, weirs & sluices, auxiliary motors in rolling mills or wherever intermittent drives are required.

Cooling tower motors are specially designed flange-mounted motors in totally enclosed construction to suit air conditioning & refrigeration industries. They are provided with special long shaft construction with externally threaded ends to directly mount the fan blades. This also helps in the better cooling of the motor. Motors are compact in design & less in weight to facilitate easy maintenance. They are available as standard catalogue designs or as custom-built.
Inverter Duty Motors
“Hindustan” Inverter duty motors are wound with special insulation system viz. dual coated class H wires, special vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI). These motors are fed with Variable Voltage & Variable Frequency (VVVF) from inverter (VFD) supply to achieve speed variation required by the process / application & to gain energy savings related with speeds. Typical VFDs have a very high switching frequencies which results in generating very high dV/dt (up to 1.2kV/µs). Such high pulses impress severe stresses on the windings. If the motors with standard insulation systems are fed from inverters, the repeated pulses of such surge waves reduces the insulation strength & the life of the motor unpredictably. “Hindustan” Inverter duty motors are wound with special insulation system viz. dual coated class H wires, special vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI).

Roller Table Motors
“Hindustan” roller table motors have correspondingly high rated, acceleration and breakdown torque. Our compact and robust roller table motors are particularly suitable for operation under extremely harsh conditions. Hindustan” Roller table motors are having special designs & construction. These are normally meant for operating under stringent conditions in steel plants. It must be possible to accelerate the motors of the individual rollers of the transport and work roller tables in a very short time span, and to change the direction of rotation under full load stress. Moreover, it may be that the rolling mill and transported material in the plant are badly affected or unexpectedly blocked.That means that opposing field brakes, attempts and empty runs rapidly change successively. In order to be able to withstand these sudden torque fluctuations, short acceleration times and constant changes in direction of rotation, “Hindustan” roller table motors have correspondingly high rated, acceleration and breakdown torque. Our compact and robust roller table motors are particularly suitable for operation under extremely harsh conditions.
